Fix ‘Em Up Package

Why pay for new hearing aids when your existing ones could perform better than ever before?

All too often people come to us from other clinics with expensive hearing aids that they are unable or unwilling to wear.

Common hearing aid complaints include: they fall out, they squeal, they have volume but no clarity and they are uncomfortable to wear.

The good news is that in just 3 appointments, we can get your existing hearing aids re-fitted and tuned according to the gold standard of clinical care.

Our patients say we get them “better than they have ever been“.

We take the time to understand you and your hearing, noting where you’re experiencing hearing difficulties and re-establishing your hearing goals. What Our Patients Say

Another provider quoted $1200 to re-program my existing hearing aids (or a “special price” for new ones). Penelope conducted a very professional assessment, put no pressure on me to buy new aids and happily re-programmed my aids to suit my current hearing, at minimal cost. Excellent service.

I just want to say thanks heaps for fixing up my hearing problem (my husband was very happy). I had no joy at three other places but a chat with the very caring & expertise of Penelope all my problems were fixed in just 2 visits. I would certainly recommend A Better Ear to anyone who is having hearing problems to give them a try.

Penelope was recommended to me, for hearing aid services. Penny spent a long time with me, making sure that all my concerns were addressed. She has surpassed anything that I expected.

“Why Don’t My Hearing Aids Work”?

Sometimes it’s because the hearing aid is broken. More often the problem is that the hearing aid has not been adjusted correctly. Poor tuning is one of the most common causes of hearing aid abandonment – a problem far too prevalent in our profession!

Think of it this way; wearing a poorly adjusted hearing aid is a bit like trying to wear someone else’s denture. Not only is it unpleasant, but it’s also impractical.

Do any of these problems sound familiar?

  • High pitched squealing
  • Low pitched whooshing sounds
  • Hearing aid falling out
  • Pain in, or around, the ear
  • Sounds that are either too loud or too quiet
  • Inability to hear well whilst on the phone
  • Volume, but not clarity
  • Everything is loud except what you want to hear!

All these symptoms could point to a poorly adjusted hearing aid.

Tuning: An Expert Discipline

Hearing aid adjustments require professional discipline. The cost of a hearing aid can influence clarity (especially in noisy or challenging listening environments) but even an expensive hearing aid, when poorly tuned, will end up in the top drawer. To get the best results you need a clinic like A Better Ear that uses the internationally recognised gold standard for every single fitting. Anything else and you are likely getting short-changed.
